"Boston" is the first preview track from the full-length album Ghost Friends by guitarist Tom Csatari (set for release in Spring 2017). Boston is an improvisational song — and Csatari's first solo guitar release — named after the composer's visit North to visit his sister just before the recording session. It's something like Fahey, John Hurt, Bill Frisell and Lindsey Buckingham rolled together into something altogether unique and trance-y.
TOM CSATARI’S “GHOST FRIENDS”
A project of Americana guitarist, composer, and environmentalist Tom Csatari (pronounced Chuh-tar-ee), Ghost Friends finds Csatari performing alone — on flat-top acoustic guitar — with his songs (often sung in a hum or whistle) and the occasional addition of analog Hammond Organ from keyboardist Dominic Mekky. Tom leads a 10-piece roots orchestra “Uncivilized” out of Brooklyn, and enjoys playing the songs of others as well as drifting into the unknown.
Tom Csatari has two albums out on the folk/americana label Tiny Montgomery Records.
